Chapter 29 – The Demon Comes Out
My name’s Xia Fukun, and I’m currently full of fiery fury.
Back on Earth, I always despised child traffickers. My blood boiled, and I couldn’t help but curse when I saw posts about child trafficking online. How can you harm those innocent and pure children just because of your self-interest?
However, Xia Fukun did not have the freedom to act as he wished on Earth due to the limits of his power.
But it was different now. He was now living in the Nine Spiritual Mainland.
Anger was written all over Xia Fukun’s face as he stared at Yao Duwan hard.
His expression gave Yao Duwan a huge shock. Xia Fukun’s reaction was so scary that Yao Duwan even thought that Xia Fukun’s family member was among the fallen victims.
Fires of fury were smoldering in Xia Fukun’s eyes. As soon as Yao Duwan heard Xia Fukun, he heard a roar coming from his back.
After getting rid of Yang Guo with Ye Qingwan, Xia Fukun stored the Fire Python Tiger, but he was so furious upon discovering Yao Duwan’s inhumane acts that he let it out again.
The yin energy in the air was immediately suppressed by a scorching fire.
Ignoring Xia Fukun, Yao Duwan could feel that there was a strong opponent behind him. He turned around and was welcomed by the Fire Python Tiger, which was pouncing up to him.
“An eighth-grade beast!?”
Yao Duwan held his breath and dodged the attack.
Similar to Yang Guo, Yang Duwan had the ability of a Warrior Realm. However, he was a pharmacologist as well and had picked up strange skills, thus he was able to dodge the attack of the Fire Python Tiger.
“Damn it! I didn’t expect this rascal to have such a helper!”
Obviously, Yao Duwan did not think that the Fire Python Tiger was Xia Fukun’s pet. How could a fourth-grade beast trainer summon an eighth-grade beast? Thus, he thought that the Fire Python Tiger was just Xia Fukun’s partner.
“A dead man should speak less,” Xia Fukun said coldly. In his eyes, Yao Duwan was already dead.
Yao Duwan was dying to get rid of Xia Fukun, but facing the Fire Python Tiger’s continuous attacks, he was unable to spare any effort to handle Xia Fukun.
So, when he saw Xia Fukun going up to destroy his setup for summoning the demon, Yao Duwan’s face fell immediately!
Go and die, rascal! I was planning to summon a King Grade demon to sign a deal with, but now I can only summon a Vanguard Grade demon.
Yao Duwan sighed and gave himself a strong smack on his chest.
Yao Duwan vomited blood.
Immediately, a strange rune appeared in front of him.
It grew bigger and bigger, enveloping Yao Duwan and his surroundings slowly.
Even though the Fire Python Tiger tried to attack him, all its efforts were in vain. It was now impossible to attack Yao Duwan.
“What is he up to right now?” Xia Fukun furrowed his brows. This was the first time that he had come across such a situation.
“This is a demon’s territory. He seems to have given up on summoning a stronger demon, going for whatever he can manage right now. But even so…”
At some point, Ye Qingwan walked up to Xia Fukun.
“Didn’t I tell you to stay back with Bu Peng? Why are you here? The poison…”
I’m not afraid of Yao Duwan’s poisonous gas because I exchanged five refinement points for the antitoxin, but what about Ye Qingwan?
“After Yao Duwan entered the demon’s territory, he is no longer poisonous,” Ye Qingwan explained. She was still closely staring at Yao Duwan, who was floating.
Currently, Yao Duwan was full of energy and spirit. He looked like he was welcoming something here. All Xia Fukun could do was watch him get stronger; there was no way to stop him.
“Are we unable to stop a demon if they’re in their territory?” Xia Fukun asked Ye Qingwan.
“I have no idea. Summoning a demon is a rare sight in the Nine Spiritual Mainland ever since the Assimilation Realm martial artist sealed the demons in their world, the Abyss. I only learned about them from the classics I found at home that talked about demons.” Ye Qingwan smiled bitterly.
“Damn it! Are we going to just watch him become stronger like this?” Xia Fukun was at a loss for words.
“Haish.” Ye Qingwan sighed.
“Demons are similar to beasts, but they are much more powerful than ordinary beasts. They can be classified like this: Ordinary Grade, Elite Grade, Vanguard Grade, King Grade, and Super Grade. Different demons correspond to martial artists of the similar realm, but they possess greater power. They will be weak when they are first summoned, but that will only last for a very short period of time before they-”
“Wait.” Xia Fukun cut Ye Qingwan off. “You said that demons are similar to beasts?”
“Yes.” She didn’t know what Xia Fukun had in mind, but Ye Qingwan nodded.
“And they are weak as soon as they are summoned?” Xia Fukun asked.
“Yes?” Ye Qingwan glanced at Xia Fukun. “However, demons are way more cunning, vicious, and-”
“That’s not important.” Xia Fukun waved his hand.
“Huh?” Ye Qingwan was totally confused by Xia Fukun.
Xia Fukun wasn’t planning on telling Ye Qingwan that he could refine any beast immediately that was of equivalent power or lower. He could even refine beasts stronger than himself as long as they are weakened first.
Since demons and beasts are similar, I can refine demons too, right?
Seeing that Yao Duwan was going to succeed in summoning the demon, Ye Qingwan was extremely anxious, while Xia Fukun was extremely excited.
If I’m really able to refine a demon…
Then in the future…..
I, Xia Fukun, will take responsibility for getting rid of the demons!
I don’t mind sacrificing myself for the greater good!
If not for this roar, Xia Fukun probably would have fallen asleep. This roar shook the entire Bu Peng family up and down.
A crack could be seen from the table that Yao Duwan had set up.
A very black claw reached out from the crack.
“Oh my god. How long has he not washed his hands for?”
Xia Fukun widened his eyes in disgust.
